I delivered a keynote address, “35 Years of Progress in Digital Recording,” at the 11th International Symposium on Problems of Redundancy in Information and Control Systems, held on a cruise ship Saint-Petersburg, Russia on July 2-6, 2007. The talk is a revised version of the talk given at the Technical University of Munich as the pre-award colloquium of the 2005 Eduard Rhein Technology Award.
